When it comes to proving the divinity of
Jesus, many have brought forth arguments from the gospels themselves as clear
proofs of his Godly nature. However, Muslims continue to object saying that
they want proofs which arose out of the mouth of Christ himself. In
other words, the red letters.
Before we get into the topic, it is
important to note that there exists requirements which need to be fulfilled or
met in order to claim divinity/Godhood. These INCLUDE:
1)Perfection
2)Eternal
3)Answering prayers
4)Forgiving sins
5) Judging the world
6)Omnipresent
7)Raising the dead
8) All-knowing
This post is going to be a little
different from the rest. Indeed I am going to bring forth the verses which came
right out of the mouth of Christ (the red letters) which say that he is the
possessor of such qualities and abilities. However, we are going to use the
Quran to further support the divinity/godliness of Christ.

He is Allah , other than whom there
is no deity, the Sovereign, the
Pure, the Perfection, the Bestower
of Faith, the Overseer, the Exalted in Might, the Compeller, the Superior.
Exalted is Allah above whatever they associate with Him.
59:23
Which
of you convinceth me of sin? And if I say the truth, why do ye not believe me?
John
8:46
And He who sent Me is with
Me; He has not left Me alone, for
I always do the things that are pleasing to Him. John 8:29
Note: Jesus ALWAYS does things that are
pleasing to God. This includes following the law in a perfect manner. (he does
not sin)
-Allah is perfect (sinless)
-Jesus is perfect (sinless)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Say: He is Allah
the
One and Only; Allah the
Eternal Absolute; He begetteth not nor is He begotten; And
there is none like unto Him. 112:1-4
Jesus said to them, "Truly,
truly, I say to you, before
Abraham was born, I am.“ John 8:58
Note: Abraham existed thousands of
years before Christ came to this earth. Yet Jesus says he existed before
Abraham was born! This passage only makes sense if he was indeed eternal.
Now, Father, glorify Me
together with Yourself, with
the glory which I had with You before the world was. John 17:5
-Allah is eternal (pre-existent)
-Jesus is eternal (pre-existent)
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And when My servants question thee
concerning Me, then surely I am nigh. I
answer the prayer of the suppliant when he crieth unto Me. So let them hear My call and let them trust in Me, in order that they
may be led aright. 2:186
And whatsoever ye shall ask in my
name, that will I do, that
the Father may be glorified in the Son. John 14:13
-Allah answers prayers
-Jesus answers prayers
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Allah says: “Say: O my Servants who
have transgressed against their souls! Despair not of the Mercy of Allah: for Allah forgives all sins: for He
is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.” 39:53
When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto
the sick of the palsy, Son,
thy sins be forgiven thee.
But there was certain of the scribes
sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only.
Mark 2:5-7
-Allah forgives sins
-Jesus forgives sins

Shall
I seek other than Allah for judge, when He it is Who hath revealed
unto you (this) Scripture, fully explained? Those unto whom We gave the
Scripture (aforetime) know that it is revealed from thy Lord in truth. So be
not thou (O Muhammad) of the waverers 6:114
Sovereign
of the Day of Recompense
1:4
Note: This verse is found within the
first chapter of the quran
which is recited every day in their prayers or salat. This verse alone might appear unclear,
but when the full chapter is read, it is without a doubt talking about Allah and
pointing to his mastery over Judgement day.
When the Son of man shall come in his
glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of
his glory:And before him shall be gathered all nations: and
he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth
his sheep from the goats: Matthew 25:31-32
Many will say to me in that day, Lord,
Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils?
and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And
then will I profess unto them, I
never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Matthew 7:22-23
For the Son of man shall come in
the glory of his Father with his angels; and
then he shall reward every man according to his works.
Matthew 16:27
-Allah is the Judge
-Jesus is the Judge
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To ALLAH belongs the East and the
West; so whithersover you turn, there will be the face of ALLAH.
Surely, ALLAH is Bountiful, All-Knowing. 2:115
Say, “If I err, I alone would bear its
consequences. But if I am on the right path, it is because my Lord sends me the
revelation. Indeed, He hears all, and He
is really close at hand.” 34:50
We
are nearer to him than his life-vein 50:16
Jesus saw Nathanael coming to him, and saith
of him, Behold an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!
Nathanael saith
unto him, Whence knowest thou me? Jesus answered and said unto him, Before
that Philip called thee, when thou wast under the fig tree, I saw thee.Nathanael
answered
and saith unto him, Rabbi, thou art the Son of God; thou art the King of Israel.Jesus
answered
and said unto him, Because I said unto thee, I saw thee under the fig tree, believest
thou? thou shalt see greater things than these. John 1:47-50
-Allah is omnipresent
-Jesus is omnipresent
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Those who listen (in truth), be
sure, will accept: as to the dead, Allah
will raise them up; then will they be turned unto Him. 6:36
And verily the Hour will come:
there can be no doubt about it, or about (the fact) that
Allah will raise up all who are in the graves. 22:7
And this is the will of him that
sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may
have everlasting life: and I
will raise him up at the last day. John 6:40
And this is the will of Him who
sent Me, that I shall lose none of all those He has given Me, but raise them up at the last day John 6:39
"No one can come to Me unless
the Father who sent Me draws him, and
I will raise him up at the last day. John 6:44
-Allah raises the dead
-Jesus raises the dead
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
And to Allah belongs the east and the
west. So wherever you [might] turn, there is the Face of Allah. Indeed, Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing
2:115
It is Allah who creates you and
takes your souls at death; and of you there are some who are sent back to a
feeble age, so that they know nothing after having known (much): for Allah is All-Knowing, All-Powerful.
16:70
But
He knew what they were thinking,
and He said to the man with the withered hand, "Get up and come
forward!" And he got up and came forward Luke 6:8
Note: The emphasis of this passage is on the
fact that Jesus knew the man’s own thoughts. This is evidenced by what he then went on to say.
And
he brought him to Jesus. And when
Jesus beheld him, he said, Thou art Simon the son of Jona: thou
shalt be called Cephas, which is by interpretation, A stone.
John
1:42
Note: This is the first meeting Jesus had
with Simon. There is nowhere in the biblical narrative that suggests he knew
anything about him prior to this encounter. Yet Jesus knew his name and his
Father’s name as well.
For
He knew the one who was betraying Him; for this reason He said, "Not all
of you are clean.“ John 13:11
-Allah is all-knowing
-Jesus is all-knowing
